With Spring here, we're naturally doing a big overhaul of our wardrobes. You may be bringing some pieces out of your storage for the first time in a year, or buying new shirts, but most likely both. But you're probably overlooking the most important part of Spring fashion.
The Watch.
I can't tell you how excited I am to finally ditch the long sleeves and hoodies and finally get to show off the real statement piece of an outfit.
Not all watches are made equal though. I think it would be a disservice if I didn't share this must-have watch with you.

Why do I Love Original Grain?
- Craftsmanship
- Style
- Durability
- Warranty
- Good Cause

1) Craftsmanship When it Comes to Wooden Watches
Wooden watches get a bad rap in the watch community, but it doesn't have to be that way. While the average wooden watch isn't built to last, Original Grain breathes a breath of fresh air into the style.
The mix of stainless steel and reclaimed wood is something Original Grain has mastered and turned into a piece of real art. Every watch is its own, and comes from a different type of reclaimed wood, giving it its own story.
My favorite collection is the Whiskey Barrel, but there's so many options it can be hard to choose. Some other options I love are military surplus and exotic hardwoods.

Gorgeous and rugged all at the same time! Really pleased with it. Thank you!

2) Style and Versatility
There's just something about a wooden watch that is so much more interesting than the average watch. Every time I wear my Original Grain watch, someone asks me about it — I never got that with regular metal watches. It's become the ultimate conversation starter.
A lot of the choices, especially the Charred Whiskey, make for incredibly versatile pieces, too. You can casually wear them, like I'll be all spring, or throw them on with even the most formal suits and they'll fit right in.
That kind of versatility is hard to come by, but I definitely appreciate it when I find it.

3) The Wooden Watch Actually Built to Last
Like I said, wooden watches have gotten some heat in the past for being cheap and low quality. Original Grain is the only brand I know of that makes real high-quality watches with wood.
They use a tempered carbonization process on the wood to avoid decay, and the cases of the watches are actual steel. As far as durability is concerned, you won't notice any difference.
To be entirely honest, I'm not sure where the myth of wood watches not standing the test of time even comes from. With proper care, your Original Grain watch will last a lifetime.

4) Feel Confident Thanks to a Solid Warranty
Let's say you're still skeptical. After all, if you haven't owned a wooden watch before, you've probably spent your entire life thinking that wooden watches are a cheap gimmick.
You can be confident ordering your Original Grain Watch thanks to its 1 year warranty. This warranty covers:
- Movements
- Dial - Indices, OG Logo,
- Hands hour, minute, second hands
- Links - Separation or breakage
- Clasp - Attachments and closure
- Strap - Connections
The team behind Original Grain build every timepiece by hand. While it's not likely, if their expert craftsmen do make a mistake, you'll be covered. Believe me, I tried finding reports from other customers.

5) Supporting the Most Important Cause
If supporting the planet is important to you, Original Grain might be the perfect watch.
First off, the watches are made with reclaimed wood that would probably just end up as junk. There aren't many uses for retired military surplus crates after all. But Original Grain has a pretty thorough system for not wasting the resources Mother Nature has given us.
Additionally, Original Grain plants a tree for every watch they sell. Meaning you can feel good putting this watch on as a steward of the environment.
So, is Original Grain the Watch for You?

You may still be unconvinced that Original Grain is for you. In that case, I'd say maybe you're right. If you've never been a watch person, well I don't know why you're here in the first place.
My only hope is you don't write off these amazing pieces over the fact that they're made of wood.
But, if you are looking for something that will level up your outfits this Spring and even Summer, I know Original Grain won't disappoint. Here's a quick recap of why:
Craftsmanship These watches really impress when it comes to mastering the use of wood, and stainless steel. They're intricate, hand-built, and some of the best timepieces you can buy.
Style These watches really do stand out. If you want someone to notice the pieces of your outfit, Original Grain is a great choice.
Durability Original Grain watches are rugged and reliable. Just because they have wood, you shouldn't discount the quality in every piece.
Warranty Every watch has a warranty that will protect your investment for a year to ensure any manufacturing defects are found and fixed.
Good Cause Original Grain plants a tree for every watch sold. Any wood that would be in the watch is replaced and returned to the earth.

The watch looks outstanding! Very impressed with original grain. Like that they give back by planting trees, helps veterans, (SEMPER fI) ,and gives new life and purpose to the material they use and the lives of those they meet.
